For over 22 years, Chicago’s One Off Hospitality Group has acted as a trailblazer within Chicago’s iconic dining community bringing true hospitality and award-winning cuisine to the city’s most beloved neighborhoods. The collective of restaurants has garnered national recognition for its array of concepts that span from fine dining to fast-casual, taco shops to high-end cocktail bars and everywhere in between, earning nine James Beard Foundation Awards, Michelin Stars and accolades from Food & Wine, StarChefs and more. 

One Off Hospitality restaurants include Mediterranean-inspired avec located in west loop & river north, the river north rooftop bar avec, modern-day American beer hall The Publican, the locally-sourced butcher shop Publican Quality Meats,  James Beard Award-Winning bakery Publican Quality Bread, taco-slinging honky-tonk Big Star, pre-prohibition style cocktail bar The Violet Hour and the quintessential neighborhood diner Dove’s Luncheonette

Executive Chef Paul Kahan leads the culinary programs across all nine of the group’s restaurants. Making his mark in the city of Chicago and beyond for his commitment to sustainable sourcing, seasonality and unconventionally creative cuisine inspired by classic dishes, Kahan has been praised as one of America’s most influential working chefs. He’s received the highest honors of culinary awards including The James Beard for Best Chef of the Midwest in 2004 and Outstanding Chef by the James Beard Foundation in 2013.
